This award is given to a Clark School of Engineering staff member whose service to his or her department, to the school, and to the university has been judged outstanding.

The annual Marilyn Berman Pollans Outstanding Service Award for an exempt or non-exempt staff member in the Clark School of Engineering . The staff member receiving the service award will be presented with a plaque and a cash award. Nominations from students, faculty and staff are hereby solicited.
Submit a NominationRosemary Parker’s achievements are lasting, impactful and span across a long career of commitment to increasing diversity within the Clark School of Engineering. Over the past decade, she has served the Clark School as Director of the Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering (CMSE), and for the past 40 years, she has worked within the Clark School to create a more diverse engineering community. Through the creation of various programs, service to countless boards and committees, relationships forged and through the securing of grants and funding, her contributions have led to a substantial increase in the number of Clark School undergraduate students from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups. Over the years her work has created a continuous pipeline of diverse engineering students to the Clark School and to the field of Engineering through the creation and leadership of various outreach programs and initiatives. It is clear she has made a lasting impression on the students she has been steadfastly committed to supporting through her many years of providing resources, tutors, guidance, and overall uplifting support, with many of those alumni remaining connected as board members, volunteers, and donors.
